WHO WE ARE

We are a subsidiary of the Southwest Community Investment Corporation, a 501 C 3 Border Non-profit organization who’s goal is to promote economic development and job creation.

There are over 106 Women’s Business Centers nationwide and what makes us unique is our border location and our idiosyncrasy as we merge two cultures and two languages. The WBC serves the Rio Grande Valley, an area that includes the counties of Hidalgo, Cameron, Starr and Willacy.  These are the four, southern most counties in the State of Texas, covering a 4,240 sq. mile area, with a combined population of 1,170,776. As evidenced, since its inception in 2004, the WBC has assistance to over 7,000 individuals in a variety of business areas from which 90% are women.
